Douro
Wine, Heritage, Gastronomy and Landscape
The region is a product of true nature.
The Douro Valley
Surrender to the beauty of this World Heritage valley, considered by many the most beautiful in the world.
Listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the Alto Douro is where the famous Port wine is produced, known worldwide for its quality and flavour. In this region, the first demarcated region in the world, a centuries-old winegrowing tradition has carved a cultural landscape of remarkable beauty. Take a boat trip on the river, discover the estates, and lose yourself in the pleasures of a glass of Port.
Recent investment in infrastructure means it has never been easier to visit this area. Places that decades ago took a whole day to reach are now only a few hours away by modern roads. And, thanks to its geography, it remains an isolated, serene region, with a sense of discovery added to the pleasure of visiting it.

A dream made of enchanted valleys, pristine nature, World Heritage sites and welcoming people awaits you.
